Short version: nobody pays to be here, and placement cannot be bought. Complete, verifiable profiles earn stronger placement — the same standard we tell homeowners to hold every bidder to.
Unclaimed listings
Most businesses on this site are labeled "From public records · Unclaimed". They did not pay to appear and did not ask to appear. Nobody here has met them, inspected their work, or checked their license. They were pulled from public business records through the Google Places API and kept only if they met fixed, checkable thresholds:
- A 4.0-star Google rating or better, with at least 10 reviews
- Google business status operational at the time of capture
- A working website and phone number
- A listed address in the city they appear under
All 21,416 of them clear those thresholds — you can spot-check any listing against its Google profile and the numbers will match. Within that set, order is by rating and review count. That is the whole of it: an unclaimed listing is not an endorsement, and being listed here is not evidence that a business is licensed or insured. Check that yourself before you hire, through your state's license lookup.
These figures were captured on July 23, 2026 and are refreshed when the directory is rebuilt, not on a fixed schedule. Ratings drift and businesses close, so treat anything here as of that date and confirm current details with the business. Any listing can be corrected or removed on request, free, within 7 days, and can be claimed free at any time.
Claimed profiles
Placement on Top 3 Local cannot be bought — there are no paid tiers. Businesses can claim their profile free and complete it: photo, license number and state, years in business, insurance carrier. Complete, verifiable profiles earn stronger placement because they give customers more to check — the same standard we tell homeowners to hold every bidder to.
What we never do

Corrections & removal
If you own a listed business and want your information corrected or removed, use the listing request form and give your business name and city. Removals are processed within 7 days, usually faster, and are not conditional on anything.
