Who we are

Top 3 Local is an independent national directory of local businesses. You can reach us at our contact page or by mail at P.O. Box 1455, El Paso, TX 79901.

Information we collect

• Business listing data — name, category, city, phone, website, and public Google rating/review counts, sourced from public records and the Google Places API.
• Information you submit — if you claim or apply for a listing, the name, email, phone, business details, photo, and links you provide.
• Project requests — if you use a "describe your project" form, the contact details and project description you provide. These go to the local contractor who will respond to you, and are used for nothing else.
• Web fonts — typefaces are served from this site, not from Google Fonts. Loading them from Google would have told Google your IP address and which page you were on, every page, so we host the files ourselves instead. No request leaves this site for them.
• Usage data — pages viewed, approximate location (city level, from your IP) and device type, via Google Analytics. We also count page views ourselves: each page sends the page address and the site that linked you here to our own server, which additionally sees your IP address and browser string, as any web server does. That count is ours alone and is not shared.
• Session replay — We also use Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymised session replays and heatmaps (clicks, scrolls, mouse movement) so we can see where pages confuse people. Sensitive areas are masked so their contents are never captured: the quote tracker, where the bids you enter stay in your own browser, is masked in full. We use all of this to improve the site, never to identify you.

How we use it

• To display and maintain business listings.
• To respond to claims, applications, and support requests.
• To improve the directory in aggregate.

What we never do

• We don't sell or rent personal information to anyone.
• We don't share your submitted contact details except as needed to provide the service.
• We don't share project requests with anyone beyond the contractor responding to them.
• Display advertising, when enabled, is described in the Advertising section below.

Your choices

You can request correction or removal of a business listing at any time, free, via the claim page or the listing request form. Cookies for analytics can be blocked in your browser without affecting core site function.

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date reflects the current version.
